presented our corp. comm. activities with the sellers today at the Lancaster Estates. wasn't able to check the venue of the meeting so i was caught offguard. but the presentation went good, anyway. Akina presented the first activity and i proceeded with the rest. people were all excited with the viral online campaign we are launching in the next week. "PRO-FRIENDS ka rin ba?" in the next month, we will also be featured in a new magazine show in ANC...

Day 27 of 365
drove off to Pampanga... we were supposed to meet my balikbayan aunt, auntie Baby, but all throughout our stay there, we didn't see each other. we were surprised to see all the guests that came in for lunch to celebrate Apung Apaz' 90th birthday. some relatives that i haven't seen for so long came and of course, everyone was trying to catch up on others' lives. my little girl was busy playing with her lolo daddy. as usual, her happiness is priceless whenever she's with her lolo daddy.
we decided to drive back to Manila early since i still need to catch up with our choir practice. driving along NLEX was smooth, minus the sun's heat, traffic was light. we also noticed, upon passing by Bocaue, that the construction of the Philippine Arena is progressing...

we can just imagine how this arena will serve its purpose and even the establishments that will surround it. this is truly our pride, as a Filipino, and as an Iglesia Ni Cristo member! ;)

[caption id="attachment_2931" align="alignright" width="198"]
1-bedroom unit is ideal for a starting family. this unit can be combined as well to make a two-bedroom unit.[/caption] just got home from a late dinner with colleagues. we came from the grand launch of Ilustrata Residences, "your perfect fit amidst New Manila & Greenhills." for starting families who wish to stay within the busy life of the city but wants tranquility upon reaching home, for the yuppies who look after their future and want a good investment, the units of Ilustrata Residences should be perfect. for as low as P7,500 a month, one can invest for the studio type unit of this emerging mid-rise residential condominium. the development is set to offer amenities that will suit the lifestyle of its residents. and yeah, its location is very strategic that is is only minutes away from business & commercial districts such as greenhills, cubao-araneta center, ortigas center, tomas morato in quezon city, makati central business district, and even bonifacio global city. hospitals & schools are also near its location. accessibility isn't a problem either even if you are using public transportation. from EDSA, you can get off at Santolan-Annapolis station of the MRT. then take a jeepney along Santolan Road (going to San Juan). From Ortigas Avenue, you may taka a jeepney along Santolan Road, going to Crame.

Day 25 of 365
It's really nice to be in church especially after a long day at work. gives so much peace of mind and it takes you away from all of the day's worries. tonight we held our first grand evangelical mission of the year and a good number of guests attended. after which, we had a class for Sunday School. My little girl was playing with practically every one she meet in church. very playful kid. after our activities in church, we headed to the car wash to give my car a good bath as we took our dinner as well. PASTAAAAAA!!! yummy! wifey had a meaty carbonara while i got the usual favorite--- chicken pesto! indeed a great time together before calling it a day! ;)
- - - - - - - - - - - -
this morning, i saw the old lady whom we saw sitting on the sidewalk last night just in front of our house. she was skinny. she was bringing a liter of bottled water, and a long thin stick. when we got home last night, i inquired where she was staying as i opened our gate. she didn't answer. i went back to the car and parked it in our garage then wifey & i decided to go out again and talk to her. we called tita Bel (our neighbor) to see if she knew the old lady. fortunately, she does. tita bel went to the house of the old lady and told her relatives that she was on the streets. soon after, two of her relatives came fetching her but eventually left her again after minutes of argument exchanges. i found out from tita Bel that the old lady was being taken cared of by one of her child who is now overseas. she is now left with her other child, together with the family (in laws), whom she is not really close with. the old lady was talking to us in English: "it's my house and they treat me like a demonyo. they don't take care of me in my very own house! it's ok if i eat tinapa as long as they eat tinapa also. if they eat pork, i should also be served pork. but no, they leave me alone downstairs!" ...was her sentiments.
when her relatives left her, saying, "tita Bel hayaan nyo na yan, uuwi rin yan. medyo may katigasan ang ulo eh!" we decided to get in the house already. the old lady was even thanking us for checking on her: "don't mind me. thank you. just go. don't waste your time on me, i will be ok here." i reiterated, "Nay, uwi na po kayo, maginaw po hindi nyo kakayanin dito sa labas magdamag." when wifey was about to go out to offer her a cup of hot noodles, she was gone. eventually she went home already and so today, it was another day for her to wander away from her 'home.' it's sad to see a scenario such as that. :(

Day 24 of 365
after a whole day in the office (one of the firsts this week,) i was hurrying to get home to catch up time with my two girls. i only have 70 pesos to spend for the day but managed to refuel my car thru the kindness of my one and only wifey who offered her money (from the online business) for me to be able to fill-up my gas tank. then she was also able to buy our little girl another learning book. the little girl is so happy with our time together, and so are we! even before office time was over, my little girl was calling and telling me to "daddy, uwi bahay, punta es-em!buy apple and toys..." hahaha.. cute lang. :D
the other day, when she and her mom was doing ukay, there was this little girl from the neighborhood who kept on grabbing her chair. little Aya was fuming mad but can't harm the other girl (because we taught her to be gentle, even when very furious already) hehehe... so all she can do was to give the little girl a tiger-look:

i think we know what to teach her next: sharing! :D

Day 23 of 365
Met Chase Tinio for the first time. I was impressed that he came on time for the taping, his first time actually to reach our estates where the taping was held. the taping went smooth and we were able to go back to the office early. during lunch, i was seated next to Chase on a long table and there was this incident that i offered to pour the iced tea on Romel's glass across the table and the pitcher's cover took off and Chase's phone which was on the table caught the iced tea. dyahe. hindi naman nagalit, haha :P

wow! just WOW! Ren & I just got back from the office to get and pack our things we left earlier (time check: 9:48PM). we rounded the three branches of Chris Sports and its affiliate store in BGC to stick the corrections to our run bibs. i just feel awful today. we could have done many other things and it could have lessen our work load. and tomorrow, our call time is 630AM for our day 2 taping for the upcoming tv show.

Day 21 of 365
tonight, my two ladies have visited ninang estela after the devotional prayer. they had their dinner at their place and ate adobo. i fetched them after attending the locale caucus and it was good to be back in their place after quite a while.
meanwhile a work this afternoon, we sealed our partnership with Knowledge Channel. they will be our beneficiary for the crystal year kick-off--- the fun run event. people from KC are accommodating and very hospitable. we did the MOA signing in their office and we had a good chat over the sandwich & fruit snack they served us for the occasion. Ren & I was talking about working for a cause--- that it is a very fulfilling job but not very rewarding in terms of monetary compensation. but both of us also agreed that we wanted to work in a cause-oriented organization, provided that we are already 'rich' and not after the monetary compensation it will offer. HOW.I.WISH.
tomorrow is number coding day. if i wake up early and leave home much earlier, i will be able to drive my car and reach my destination just before the number coding takes effect... OR... i can just leave the house at a normal (but slightly much earlier) time and just take the jeepney/bus on my way to work. let's see...

after church duties, i feel good. two choir performances, and one sunday school. i still have choir practice later as we start to rehearse on a new (much later) time for the upcoming holy supper. then after that, we'll be visiting a PNK member in the hospital to see how she's recovering. busy much. but i love it! :D
wifey & little Aya are manning their ukay-ukay this afternoon. looks cute, i wish they earn much today :D

Day 19 of 365
came home early from work courtesy of my entitled offset. wifey's going to church and that means, the little girl and her daddy's going to spend bonding time again! that is my Saturday's consolation after a day's work. little Aya is always expecting our time together, mostly in malls, when her mom goes to church. that's why you can just imagine her frustration if i need to work overtime on an official business on a Saturday.
the little girl seems to grow very fast. wifey and i were talking earlier about sending her to school already next school year. yeah... next school year! ALREADY. aackk!!! i still don't have enough savings!!! but i know "blessings" will come. ;)
we're thinking of where to send her to school. i just don't want to think about the tuition fee. geez.. i can't imagine having a school girl already. i think thirdy should catch up soon. :D
after her hospitalization, the little girl again craved for a set of "doctor" toys...

Day 18 of 365
was perked up at work today. i (think i) have accomplished a lot of things: met with my work team mate and cascaded our many activities, encashed a project budget, crafted (with my boss) and coordinated our print & TV plan for a project, emailed Knowledge Channel, email our three-month calendar of activities to team mates, register and entertain inquiries about our fun run, coordinated with the producer of our upcoming TV show, proofread some advertorials, and ate just 1 serving of rice for lunch! :D my new team mate works fast, i hope she learns a lot from her new job post in which i will have a big part of (her learning.)
anyway, i was rushing to get home after office to catch up with my two girls, especially the little girl. her mom wanted to buy her food (read: comfort food in between regular meals) for the next few days and i promised to get her also a new toy she requests. my little girl always calls me to play with her. i need to give her the attention she wants even if I need to do some things at home. moments like these won;t repeat in the next few years when she's already grown and choos to be with her friends more than us, her parents. :|

Day 17 of 365
as expected, i was swamped with pending work in the office. i came from more than 3 days of field work and things to do in "home base" aren't getting less. i thought i am going to be able to brief my new work team mate but was surprised to know that she can't make it to work today due to a delayed flight (from a vacation.) i just thought it could have been better if she informed me before i have sent her a text message inquiring if she's reporting to work today. i'm being pressured by my boss for her to "step up." i can just do so much for her, and it is really up to her to prove herself and "shine." anyway, i'm not giving up on her... yet. let's see tomorrow.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
little girl just checked out of the hotel hospital. THANK GOD! i also want to thank my dad. what i've said last November still holds true up to now...

feels great to be home! ;)

Day 15 of 365
I'm here in Parc Regency Residences waiting for the 3PM meeting. we've conducted an interview with some workers this morning and at lunch, we were with the big bosses. it's only here (in this company) where i get to eat at the same table with the executives. not to mention, ride with them in the same car, or even chat with them while inside the lift. they also get to share a lot of life's lessons in the course of your conversation.
after our presentation this afternoon, my boss & i shall be on our way back to Manila. afterwhich, i'm bound to go straight to the hospital where my little girl is confined (again). I just wish two things today: that she gets well very soon and that this may be her last hospital confinement. i just wanna play with her everytime i'm with her or whenever i get home from a tiring day at work. talk about the term "budin."

over the week, our little girl's fever has been on and off. her first CBC test indicates negative for dengue (thank, God) and her urinalysis results prompted the doctor to prescribe some medication. her pedia advised us to have another urinalysis just to check on the improvement from the first results. indeed, it's clearer this time. she's taking antibiotic for seven days, 6th day already tomorrow. but tonight while i'm islands away from my two girls, wifey informed me that the little girl is back in the hospital at this very hour to have a repeat cbc exam. i hope it's nothing serious. i really miss my good ol' energetic & lively little girl.
meanwhile, i'm gonna call it a day.

Day 13 of 365
celebrating Papa Johnny's birthday today. Wifey bought spaghetti & tacos ingredients and she made this special graham cake for Papa. after the church duties, i went to the in-laws' place where my two girls stayed. not much celebration unlike last year's. i took a nap and upon waking up, just ate very little. the weather was not very pleasant as we were sweating at the height of the afternoon.
before going home, we bought this mouse trap as we were unsuccessful in catching this bubwit with the sticy paper that worked with the previous ones. when we catch it, it's gonna be payback time!
i still need to pack. early flight tomorrow for a business trip.

Day 12 of 365
early date with wifey today. we drove to Manila to get some stuff. somewhere in Pureza, we were summoned by a traffic enforcer upon seeing me transfer to an outer lane following a red light. traffic on every intersection told me i had no chance to escape these yellow boys so i slowly drove to the side street and waited for the enforcer to come near my car. there were just two things in my mind that time: 1) he issues me a ticket, or 2) he let me go without involving any cash "transactions." after minutes of exchanging words, the officer let me go. yep, i got item number two as mentioned above!
- - - - - - - - - - - -
wifey & i were preparing for church for the night when wifey noticed our little girl... she's fever again! i texted Lily Jane to look over the choir since I can not perform already tonight as earlier mentioned to her. we immediately went to my little girl's pediatrician and have her checked. her fever has been on and off but basing on her latest CBC test, (good thing) she isn't a dengue victim. we have to wait for her 2nd urinalysis until tomorrow. we hope it's nothing serious... just lagnat-laki. :|

Day 10 of 365
Maaga akong nakauwi ngayon.

Day 9 of 365
Daddy duties this morning. I attended to our little girl and let wifey take (even just) a short sleep to catch up from last night's duty with the daughter. She was the one waking up round the clock to let our little girl take her dose of paracetamol every four hours. This morning, while her mother was asleep, I talked to my daughter and asked her to take time eating and drinking so as to avoid being confined (again) in the hospital due to dehydration. I guess she loses her appetite just like anyone else who is sick, but I let her understand the consequences of not trying to feed one's self. So she patiently chewed the cut of apple i prepared for her, sipped on her milk, and tried to eat some rice. Then i gave her the next dosage of paracetamol. i also prepared the ulam for wifey so that she's ready to eat when she wakes up.
i was carrying my lunch box when my boss asked me to go with her to meet a press person over (FREE) lunch. and who am I to say no? :P anyway, i was thinking about the pile of work that i need to do but thought that they can wait after the (FREE) lunch. LOL.
i was relieved to know that my little girl's fever subsided in the afternoon. when i got home, she was more lively compared to when i saw her last night from work. but here she is now, so active like she didn't have a fever this morning! wifey & i keep on telling her not to exhaust herself but she can't be stopped. well, at least she eats now, drinks more water, and takes her medicine on time. thank, God! ;)

Day 8 of 365
i was on standby for almost 3 hours just to find out that i won't be able to deliver my presentation in one of the sales team's general meeting. i was tasked to present our crystal year project and 2 other projects the the green circle group but a motivational speaker ate up all the time up to the extended hour that the group has paid up the venue. it's really not a big deal to me not being able to present. anyway, i get to learn some points from the speaker's talk. i just thought it would have been better if the group let me presented much earlier, or told me earlier that i wouldn't be able to present anymore so i could have reached home at a much earlier time. our little girl is sick again hence the eagerness to get home ASAP.
on my way home, i remember myself being sickly when i was a kid. i'm a "regular" hospital patient and i used to collect those white stuffs that serve as dextrose hose contorl/regulator. yeah, i had many of those when i was a kid. i bring them home. they were my toys. now my little girl has to inherit it. sad :(
her pedia prescribed 3 medicines, including paracetamol. good thing they didn't cost much. hard times when a member of the family gets sick. leads me to the thought that our HR should work out the family members inclusion in our health benefits. it's what matters more than the other "perks" they are offering the employees (if any,) in my opinion.

it's my nephew's birthday! seeing from facebook photos, i can see that he is now taller than ever. good for him, he needs the height to be at pace with his Canadian friends *teehee* kidding. we all know that we aren't blessed with much height. but yeah, no regrets as long as we look young and stay good-looking. haha! :P
anyway, wifey & i, together with our kulit little girl hit the supermarket to bring in to the basket those food. yeah... FOOD! my one and only sister & ninong-bayaw sent us relief money for the new year. because of it, we were able to buy the necessities in life: kid's milk, food, food, and more food! thanks a bunch, you couple! we can now survive up to my next pay day :D it's really MORE FUN shopping for food rather than anything else. and much more delightful if you get extra other than the basic things you need to have...

after a hell day at work, it's so nice to catch a breather with former colleagues whom i was with for the longest time among the previous companies i worked for. i was rushing to get home from work as i still needed to fetch my two girls who were going with me in the reunion. everybody was happy to see each other as some of us who were there were no longer connected to the company, but still the friendship continues. my little girl handed her new year's gift to the ladies and everyone was delighted to see her grown up already! we didn't stay long as it was already getting late but the short stay sure did give me a much-needed breather...

I was expecting heavy traffic this morning on my way to work but, alas! traffic was amazingly lighter than i expected. it gave me an extra time so i decided to drop by my usual breakfast stop. my love for nutty chocolate has not faded over the years!
first meeting at work was a coordination meeting with the department that specializes in internal affairs---- the Human Resources. we discussed the activities being cooked in preparation for the company's crystal year and asked their assistance for internal campaign of the events. and to kick it off, we'll be coming up with a fun run. this run is open to everyone. I was very happy receiving inquiries about the run. before new year's eve last year, i've sent teasers for the event but this morning, I sent everyone the information that our big event is already posted in takbo dot ph's calendar of events. I do hope many from our colleagues do participate. ;)
in line with the fun run which we dubbed as "Run for eLearning," we did an ocular to the route which the participants will take in the actual event. excited much? we need to double time!

got wifey a pink dress which she really love. it looks very elegant on her. lucky me for having a beautiful wife, and very much caring at that! that pink dress is just too little compared to all the things she's been doing for our little girl and i. time to reward her with small things, yet big enough to make her smile! :D
tomorrow's another day. still need to do a LOT of things. ok, let's do this!

Day 1 of 365
New year's day. Woke up at the normal time I usually do whenever there's work. Didn't matter that we were up until past midnight the previous day watching those fireworks everywhere in the sky in celebrating the entrance of 20-13.
Picked up the garlands early in the flower shop to be used in today's event in Bacoor. Hit the road and drove to our office. ahh... traffic's heaven! the normal 1-hour drive to work just took me 15 minutes to drive the same distance which i drive everyday!
feeling's great to see the colleagues with all smiles even if we all didn't want to work on a holiday. upon arrival in the ground-breaking site in Bacoor, the capsule was ready. so we just waited for our LGU counterparts to arrive and set-up the pending things undelivered yesterday.
people came as the day progressed, our company's VP for sales & marketing, our company president, and finally the mayor and his wife arrived. the short program for the ground-breaking ceremony commenced at almost four in the afternoon. then snack was served to the delighted guests. i chose to stuff myself with barbecue on stick and 3 servings of buko pandan *burp*
i was supposed to watch a movie with the colleagues after the event but decided to go home early since our little girl is sick. before finally going home today, i dropped by the supermarket and got a pack of diaper and fruits, and from the drugstore i got my little girl her paracetamol and four pieces of those handy fever patches. geez... been purchasing them but only a while ago that i realized that these patches are costly. anyway, it's good to see that my little girl is lively and active. nice to be home after a day's work. it's even nicer to think that i'll be having two offset days in return for this holiday work.
ending this day by updating blog while having two servings of fruit salad! yummy!

the 2012 chapter ends
i started the year by looking forward to a more aggressive career. i was considering to write for a second news program. it should cover up my growing financial needs. unfortunately, the schedule of the supposed 2nd program got chaotic due to the impeachment proceedings of former SC Chief Justice Renato Corona. it overlapped with the mother program so i have to cram during production hours! not that i can not do it but i chose not to continue doing it because the mother program suffers or the other way around when i needed to give extra attention to the other. i bid goodbye to the other and things got hard (again) financially as i can not get a regular raket during the day. with all these and other reasons, i decided to leave GMA.
got attracted to this job title---> Corporate Communications Officer. since i got the job post, many new things came... career-wise. this is one of my blessings this year, and i thank GOD for it! :)

2012 marked too many deaths among the people i personally know. first, my Apung Ingging, then my good online-turned-personal-and-real-life friend RevenanT, whom i owe a lot in terms of street directions in Makati and some html/internet know-hows. then in July, we lost my uncle, and surprisingly also, former colleague Mang Nes passed away. of course the death of known personalities such as comedy king Dolphy and the good public servant DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo was also marked this year - 2012.
death comes to everyone... it's just that nobody knows when. with this, all we can do is to be prepared.

for travel, we were able to go back to Baguio this year and celebrate with our good friend Kerwin who got married to his girlfriend-now-wife, Blessie.
i was also able to (FINALLY) set my feet in Enchanted Kingdom! Anchor's Away was heaven! I still need to try their roller coaster... next time! ;)
i've come back to Iloilo thrice this year! the lovely place of my childhood years have been re-introduced to me courtesy of my new job. eventhough my trips were all work-related, i'm lovin' it! :D
speaking of work-related trips, Cavite, particularly Imus & Bacoor, became my regular OB (official business) destination. understandably, the province is where most of our projects are located, including the flagship project.

New Things. new TV, new cable subscription, new career, wifey's new business, new-found friends... so many things to be thankful for! ;)
2012 has been generally good to me.. not that none of us got sick or had problems, but positiveness prevailed over these obstacles. and projecting a positive outlook makes us see the lighter side of life.
I THANK GOD for my family... my wife & our little girl keep me going everyday. we may not have the best of everything but we make sure we bring out the best in each other whenever we're together. relatives have been supportive all throughout our hard times, and friends keep us sane. everything... EVERYTHING... God, thanks! ;)
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
