malling...

...after a domestic issue, i felt an urge to go malling alone. but of course, i'd wish BK is here so i wouldn't be so "alone". LOL. just trying to cheer up.

Anyway, here is something i just wanna share which my grandpa thought me and may be useful to everyone who makes coffee every morning:

Ok. The typical "ingredients" in preparing a home-mixed coffee are the following:

1. a container with coffee or the coffee jar itself
2. a container with cream or the creamer can itself
3. a container with sugar
4. a teaspoon
5. a cup (and a saucer--- this is optional though)
6. and of course, hot water.

Now how do you prepare your coffee? Shout it out please and i'll tell you what my grandpa told me about the proper way of preparing a coffee. After this, you might just get a job as barista in Starbucks or Figaro or Tim Hortons or whatever coffee shop you intend to work.

We had our rehearsal yesterday for Charlie & Espie's wedding which will be held this afternoon at the INC Central Temple. The rehearsal was very good as the minister-in-charge did a great job in giving us the instructions on what should be done on the actual ceremony. Although i have been a secondary sponsor to many weddings in the past, I can say i liked how our rehearsal was conducted last night. The bride-to-be wasn't able to hide her emotion as they practiced the exchange of vows, and the groom-to-be wasn't able to hide his jitters either.

I was paying close attention to the rehearsal and at the same time looking forward to that special day of my life. Wedding ceremonies in the church are so solemn. It is when God's grace and benediction are poured to the couple seeking His blessings, that He may be with them when they enter a new stage of life, until death separates them from each other. It's an occasion where mixed emotions are felt, witnessed by the couples close families and friends. A special occasion which the couple will forever remember for the rest of their lives...

January 09 Sunday my family and i went to the mall to have some VHS tapes transferred to VCD copies. Then we viewed Cesar Montanos Panaghoy sa Suba which garnered the best supporting actress award (Rebecca Lusterio as Bikay) in the recently held MMFF awards. The films primary language is Bisaya, English-captioned. The film is a very good alternative to the usual all-star studded casting, modern-type setting, too-fictional movie theme. It tackles a life in a remote barrio in the time of the American-Japanese war, and how the Filipinos became a victim of it, and fought for it eventually.

Speaking of Cesar Montano, I liked his previous films under GMA productions, Muro Ami (1999) and of course, how he "candidly" portrayed his role as the national hero in Jose Rizal (1998).

January 10 Monday boss Noriel and i were scheduled to head to his native province, Tarlac, but we had problems with the car to use. so we waited in my dad's office til lunch time. while waiting for lunch, we went to see some OB vans of GMA (kapuso) near Timog. I thought it was Regine Tolentino who was covering something for Unang Hirit as it was still 8 in the morning, but it turned out to be a shoot of either Joyride or Forever In My Heart. I asked one of the PA's there if Regine Tolentino of Unang Hirit was in there and i was told it wasn't Regine but Mark Herras and Jennilyn Mercado. So, we left the area and just took our breakfast in Chowking, Kamuning-EDSA branch as per boss Noriels request, then we visited our old house in K-6th beside the popular sapa in the area. Also, we were able to see my cousin's unit a few houses away from the old house. Then we stayed in my dad's ground floor office where there is a KFC/Mister Donut establishment.
We finally had the vehicle going to Tarlac and after driving a few hours, we stopped by my friends area of assignment in Salapungan Locale. Then afterwards, we were greeted by Noriels relatives and close friends upon arrival at their place in Cariño.
Pork sinigang was served for dinner and it was soooo yummy!

January 11 Tuesday we drove back home to Manila and i prepared for the choir practice later that night.

January 12 Wednesday i went to a job interview in Tektite East Tower, then later referred a friend to the same job slot i was applying to. weird, eh? but believe me, it isn't really as weird as you think.

January 13 Thursday, went to a former employer and inquired about a vacant job post. i was able to talk to a friend of mine who eventually is the current immediate supervisor of the said job post. she endorsed me to the HRD, and the next day,

January 14 Friday i took the exam and waited a day *sigh* for the interview.

Today, i wanna greet my bestfriend PJ a happy, happy birthday, and my friend and former colleague, Anne, the same.

since my good buddies arrived from Mississauga the other Wednesday, i've been practising my hospitality skills to make them feel 'at home'. My mom once in a while calls my attention for not being a good host to them. oh well, i guess i'm not really an expert to it.

i still haven't watched Aishite Imasu, the third film i'm longing to see among the recent entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival. I was lucky to have viewed Sigaw and Mano Po 3. I didn't like the former but the latter is, i guess, far better than Mano Po 2. If i'm not mistaken, Mano Po 3 bagged the best actor and best actress awards in the recently held MMFF awards night. My mom is insisting to watch So... Happy Together, which surprisingly is getting good feedback from people who watched it. Still, the top-grosser among the entries is Vic Sotto's Enteng Kabisote and it is now fighting in the blockbuster with foreign films Oceans 12, Blade Trinity among others.

Speaking of movies, when we watched Mano Po 3 the other night, i swear i could have brought some popcorn and softdrinks and spill it to a couple who's such a moron. we watched the last full show and normally before the film starts, the Philippine National Anthem was to be played and needless to say, movie goers are expected to stand and pay respect to it. The couple didn't even moved their asses. the guy even had his feet up on the seat in front of him and they were embracing each other like they are in a private motel room. disgusting. they should be thrown away in an isolated island where there is no television AND cellular phones.
