Monday I went to South Common Library as early as 1000 hrs to print my e-ticket & iterinary for my San Diego trip that same day. talk about last minute moves, haha! anyway, i got a cool printing card at the library which i can use as long as i load it with credits, CA$0.15 per page printed. Snow had been pouring like there's no tomorrow as early as 8AM that day and later on i learned that it was just the start of a two-day snow storm. howell, i managed to check-in by 1230 hrs at the Toronto-Pearson Airport and wait for my connecting flight to Chicago. As i have posted last Monday, my scheduled flight was cancelled and so i waited for the five or so PM flight.
I arrived in Chicago minutes after an hour and tried to contact abby thru her mobile phone just to inform her that i'll be transferring plane in two hours. Silly things had to happen in Chicago Airport. First, my call (thru the public phone) to abby's cell phone can't get through so i contacted the operator and informed him of the dilemma. He can't understand what i'm trying to say and he was like shouting at me on the other line so i hung up on him. he shouldn't be in the customer service field in the first place. bah!
anyway, after that stupid conversation with the hot-tempered operator, i decided to change my dollar bill to quarters. I saw this rent-a-cart trolly but it was worth two dollars. so i inserted my two dollar bills, hoping that i'll get a lose change when i return it to its proper place. They were not refunded! gasp! there goes my two dollars... Toronto airport always returns the looney you use for renting those push carts. i wonder why Chicago airport are so obssessed with money. sheesh...
Anyway, i was glad to finally board my connecting flight to San Diego thru United Airlines. Around 1130 hrs, i finally arrived in San Diego and immediately called abby to inform her that i already am ready to be picked up at the arrival area. So she and her brother jireh met me at the arrival area from the parking lot where they dozed off a bit. i was glad to have finally met the two siblings.
They brought me to my hotel, after making a few rounds around the area, we finally located where it was. hehe... thanks for that, buddy! a few minutes after leaving the hotel, a took a quick shower then i heard knocks on my room's door. it was abby & jireh! a terrible thing happened on their way home so they went back to my place and spent the night there. (just refer to abby's post on this thru her page) before we slept, we ate omelettes and drank tasteless iced teas. and it was called a day!
Tuesday i called my sis and my BK in Toronto to inform them i had landed safely in SD, and at the same time inquired on the snow storm. I called Alice afterwards who had a vacation in Los Angeles a week ahead but unfortunately, she left already for Toronto.
My buddy and her brother encouraged me to stay at their place instead since their car was towed and that they'll be having a hard time fetching me from time to time from my hotel room. so i checked-out a day earlier than my schedule and headed to my buddies' place. I met their parents and they were so cooL! Despite of everything that has happened, they kept a happy atmosphere at home. thanks again, buddy!
Our Universal Studio trip didn't push through but it was very understandable. It's just enough to know that both of them are safe, so we just strolled in town, mall and went shopping. of course we went to JOLLIBEE! how can i miss it? haha! then late afternoon, instead of going to the movies, we just stayed home. talk about home body:
the picture above shows me talking to jary on the phone. i hope to meet them again soon. i still miss Manila.
We rented movie CDs for the night and watched a classic Eddie Murphy film (hehe) and a Filipino-foreign film, The Debut. "Will you plis pass da binigar?!"
then we called it a day!
Wednesday, jireh had to go to school so abby had to accompany me for the day. we went back to UTC and exchanged some stuffs that i bought the previous day, as per my sister's preferences. and also, i was able to buy something for me--- a traveller's bag. woh... it was so worth the price!
After lunch, abby contacted her friend hazel to accompany us to the airport. we picked up jireh from school and headed to SD airport. i was so excited to come back, and so this photo will prove:
upon arrival at the airport, we had some parting shots and i would like to take this wonderful opportunity to thank my froggy buddy & her brother jireh for the accommodation you have provided me during my trip there in San Diego. Whenever you feel like visiting Toronto, its my turn to return the favor. just one thing: don't go here during winter or we'll just be staying indoors all the time. talk about fear of snow. haha!
we landed Toronto airport at around 0600 hrs, Eastern Time and i finally got back home safe and sound, in one complete piece!

last time he cried for a girl was way back in 1990. And after that long a time, just yesterday, he shed tears for a lady he loves so dearly, and for a scary reason--- that he might lose her. it may not physically show but feelings are hard to explain. he has begun to like her, and now learned to love her and could not just help but give a care she truly deserves...
he always say its hard to explain and "why" questions may not be answered in an instant so one could just have let it out by shedding tears without saying a word and hopes that the message will get across.
Parting Time
Rockstar
I remember the days
When you're here with me
Those laughter and tears
We shared for years
Mem'ries that we had
For so long it's me and you
Now you're gone away
You left me all alone
Go on, do what you want
But please don't leave me
You'll break my heart
Hey, what should I do
Babe, I'm missin' you
Please don't disappear
These are the words that you should hear
Time and time again
I wish that you were here
I don't wanna lose you girl
I need you back to me
I don't wanna lose you
Baby can't you see
Oh, I need you
You've been a part of me
I wish someday you'll be back home
'Cause I really miss you
Darling, please come home
I wish someday you'll be back home
'Cause I really miss you
Darling, please come home

my 3:55 flight has been cancelled because of the snow storm. grrr!!!
i have already informed my sis and my BK about this coz they're expecting a call from me when i get to SD. i told them i'll call tomorrow instead coz i'll be in SD very late already for Eastern Time.
now i've been here at the airport for almost 4 hours now. i just had tuna sandwich and a bottle of iced tea for lunch and now, i'm using the laptop of a stranger. hehehe... they're kind enough to ease my boredom at this coldy cold weather.
hmmm..... good thing, my buddy also has a good heart to adjust to my skeds. i offered her and her brother jay to sleep over my hotel room for the night kase di ba, masyadong hassle na yung ginagawa ko, na-delay pa yung flight. anyway, di ko naman kasalanan kung mag snow storm eh! peste talaga yang snow na yan. howell...
laterz!

weekend has been great, and as expected, blessed!
Saturday saw me performing twice in the choir, morning at the Grand Bible Presentation and evening at the Filipino worship service. Then after the service, we practised hymns for the thursday & sunday services and the hymns for the holy supper.
Sunday, which is about to end in a few minutes from now, has also been a great day for me. highlight of the day was our officers meeting at the church.
morning, we finished some chores here at home then lunch time we visited my brother & sister's place in Winston Churchill then headed to Square One for lunch. I also bought abby a small token for taking time out for me in my visit to her place in San Diego tomorrow until Wednesday. hey, this is an advance forecast. hehe...
oh well, i still haven't packed my things (up to this time), i just checked and re-confirmed my trip through expedia.com and emailed some details to my buddy. but before that, we watched a cheapy-cheapy movie which i bought at a sale shelf in Walmart this afternoon. anyway, have to log out now. i'd be updating soon.

had a very nice day today courtesy of my BK. Everything seemed perfect for a day, eventhough the wind chill's freezing outside, it didn't matter.
oh well, i went to Islington this morning and then attended to some matter pertaining to my trip on Monday. My aunt and lola handed me a little 'something' to bring on my trip and i had a contact number of a relative in SD whom i can call anytime when i get there. now, everything should run smoothly...
i had finally got rid of Shout Out and replaced it with Comment (voice out) by HaloScan. The "Shout Out" hasn't been working for more than three days now. Time to move on... i just need to configure this new commenting box and personalize it a bit more. I just hope i get ON-TOPIC voices on the new "voice out" (calling the attention of jary & abby), while the tag-board remains there for off-topic messages. Its always great to have two-way communication. I feel unalone.

in case you are wondering what these characters say, its simply to greet our Chinese brothers and sisters a Happy Chinese New Year! Today officially marks the beginning of the year of the monkey.
"Everything will be workable this year. At least the agile Monkey will not give up before trying every angle. There will be success even in impossible ventures, there will be inventions and improvisations galore. Politics, diplomacy, high finance and business will be engaged in one big poker game with everyone trying to out-bluff each other. A rather amusing and exciting time in which everyone will be given the opportunity to try his hand at the game. No direct confrontation here, as the Monkey is one who can laugh off his mistakes and improve his bargaining prowess in the next round." - www.thefengshuiconsultancy.co.uk

notes from yesterday:
> watched movie with my BK
> kuya JP offered me a ride home

> talked to my tita Rina re: papers
> WS blessed (as always)
> old church organ lifted down to the basement
> dragging day, i slept a lot

i'm looking forward to my San Diego trip on Monday. My froggy buddy promised me *ehem* (take note: PROMISED) that she'll take me to Universal Studios. hmm... i wonder if we'll be going to LA or Florida? Last 2002, we went to Universal Studios (US) - Los Angeles, courtesy of my dad's officemate, where we stayed there for a week and they toured us everywhere. That was a very memorable experience. oh well... if ever we will not push through with the US thing, i'd settle for ANY BRANCH of JOLLIBEE. :p

I'm getting worried with my niece's attitude. she's getting to be more stubborn, hard-headed, loud and sometimes forgetting to give a little respect to her elders. Kadalasan, nagiging maarte pa sa maraming bagay. Her sweetness remains though but we fear that she also uses this character of hers in dealing with "the boys." Most of the time, her mom catches her to be too clingy with her "kuyas" in church. At home, she talks the loudest and never gives way to his kuya. she also pouts everytime she doesn't get what she wants, and always wanting to have what others have. this isn't good.
i know her parents are working hard for their kids and they strive very hard to give them the quality time they need. must it be the environment? sad. i hope the CWS will help her get through this.

i've been awake for an hour and a half now, after dozing off early last night at around 2000 hrs. yesterday, i surprised keng by showing up in her place in the afternoon. i told her before that i'm not going to her place since its a day for her friends. but anyway, i showed up. "i lied, hahaha."
well, it's nice to give surprises once in a while, and being appreciated means more. i walked to No Frills and grabbed some cans of fruit cocktail, whole kernel corn, cream and condensed milk then brought it to karen's place. i made her fruit salad which she, her friends & family could share for the day. i didn't stay long though coz today is really my scheduled day with her and NOT yesterday. oh well. just didn't want to miss her day.
------------
dawn has been branded as "unholy hours" of the day and thinking way back for possible reason for this, i remembered that when i was still having my OJT with Malaya Newspaper, most of the blotter-crimes are committed during the dawn (hours). From gang wars to rape cases, vehicular accidents to neighbor fights, and others. It is also during these hours that the prostitution business is so much alive.
while some professionals report at night shifts (in Manila we call it graveyard shift), some stay home and sleep over a rented DVD or VCD movie while snoring in the couch, while some prefer to read or study on something until the break of day.
for me, this is the best time to think of everything that i need to do with my life. I have a lot of things to accomplish ahead of me and being here on the other side of the globe, i confess that i'm still a bit "shaky" in dealing with things. i think i still need to get more "feel" of this country and bravely move on to my life the way i live in the far east. yes, there's no place like home, since you already know how to deal with everything including the 4 Ws and Hows.
I've been waiting for different things almost all my life. Sometimes, i just wish for the second coming of Christ and end all this waiting. Am i being too impatient? Or maybe i'm getting exhausted already?
I miss the things that i do in Manila, mostly my church locale functions. Now come to think of it. I still don't have a status here in Canada but it's not what i long for whenever i think of what i want. I think of Thursdays and Sundays, for these are the days that i get to perform my duties in church. I feel serenity whenever i worship my God through singing hymns of praises for Him. I feel like i don't have any material needs whenever i'm inside His holy sanctuary. I feel like the world could end and it doesn't matter as long as I am in the house of my Father. And when I pray, I feel that my needs are just in my hands.
I've been longing for the comeback of this feeling. I have moved away from the Father and now He's embracing me back. I feel blessed...

i really don't know how to start this entry. we just hang up the phone and i felt like evil having brought up that matter and i know i have hurt you. i'm sorry.
even if you assured me that its no one's fault because it's a feeling. yeah. i used to say that a lot--- "you can't blame a feeling coz it's a feeling." even if you tell me that you trust my words, i still have this feeling of need to prove it.
well, i would just like you to know that i am very thankful to you for coming into my life. i know its beyond words to show and let you feel what i feel for you, but at least, at least may this space in my page tell you how much you mean to me and let everybody else see and be witness of this confession...
Happy birthday, karen. i wish you all the best! whatever it is that will make you happy, as long as you know it's right for you and will do you good, i'll be by your side. :)

Get well soon, keng! marami nag-aalala pag nagkakasakit ka.

Thanks to my buddy Charlie for treating us dinner in that Chinese(?) resto which serves congee and delicious fried squid & fried rice. we ate dinner there after the devotional prayer tonight and we were joined by jen, judy & chito. Also, happy birthday to my good ol' classmate Espie (January 17) who is currently in the Philippines. Espie is the good half of Charlie... *crosses-fingers*

i miss my parents. i wish they are here with us. i have longed to be independent from them and now that my wish has come true, i began missing them. good thing though, since mom went home to Manila, i have learned to cook. kahit paunti-unti lang, pagisa-gisa, pagulay-gulay... konting karne. at medyo nasanay ako sa mga gawaing-bahay. coz i swear, when i get my work permit, i'll be as busy as i was. knowing myself, i have to learn to adjust my scheduling since it will be a different atmosphere in here. all things are timed. catch up on the bus, catch up on time, catch up on appointments... everything timed. 24 hours will not be enough. so as long as i am still free from work, i might as well enjoy every bit of it. i miss working, i miss a lot of things. but with all these, and the things that has been happening to me, i just have one being to thank fully with all my heart, and that is the Almighty Father in heaven.

it has been snowing heavy yesterday upto overnight, leaving our yard with a high pile of snow:
i just stayed at home and did household chores plus babysitting my niece, and wised up not to brave the wind chill which measured minus 30 (to 32) degrees celsius. i cooked our lunch and felt weird with the taste of what i cooked. i actually just boiled a few strands(?) of baguio beans and giniling, put some onions in it and seasoned it with salt and a spice. i could have called and asked some help from karen but i knew she was at work and i don't wanna bother her just for the recipe. oh well... my niece liked what i have prepared for her and to my surprise, she only complained about the onions. she complains everyday about the food but maybe, i was just able to "bribe" her to finish her lunch so she could eat her favorite toasted bread by merienda time.
and so i prepared her favorite toasted bread by three o'clock. i grabbed the margarine from the fridge, and took some sugar, then put the bread in the oven for about seven minutes. my niece goes crazy with these toasted breads! i'm glad she likes what i prepare for her. she better not complain or else...
after her snack, she bugged me into playing outside in the snow and demended me to take photos of her. naku talaga itong batang ito, napaka arte! okay, okay... so i let her play outside in the snow and took some pictures of her, which i can send to her lolos & lolas in the Philippines. Here's one of her shots:

Happy Birthday to my BEST! nasaan ka na?

I'm glad we're talking again. After yesterday's incident, i thought some things will change. If ever there was, I felt it was for the better. I realized I must give you ample space... but i won't be too far away from you, coz i can't too. I'm glad you're here, yes i'm glad you are here... thanks.

i have to admit, and i wasn't able to hide it from you, i got saddened by what you asked me, and reasoned out after i replied. yes, i understand the situation. this is what i'm afraid of. the years of gap. i know i have to wait, and i am. its just that i'm happy whenever i'm with you. whatever made you think that i'm binding you with myself is a big misinterpretation. no. i am not holding you, and in the first place, do i already have the right to? NONE. its just that i'm happy. yes, i'm happy when i'm with you.
this evening, i tried to sleep where i was seated as the bus slowly moves heading home while the snow pours heavily outside. i needed to forget that very moment before you took off the bus. our trip to your place was almost spent in silence. i couldn't do anything to assure you that i'm not in any way pressuring you. its just my nature and you are very much free to do whatever you think is right and good for you.
the thing i gave you is just something, and it will never be considered as anything to bind you to me. its yours. its my gift to you. accept it for it's the least i can give you. i hope you move on with your life, not thinking of someone else who is "pressuring" you. don't worry about me. i'll be fine, as i always am.

I have booked my flight this morning and i'm leaving for San Diego, CA on the 26th. I was supposed to leave on the 19th but for some reasons, i decided to re-schedule my flight on the 26th. I'll be meeting my froggy buddy in San Diego and she will have to accommodate me and tour me to her county. haha! i look forward to seeing her and his brother, jaypogi, the two siblings i'm rooting for the next PEx members in focus!
and you know what's the best thing that i'm looking forward to that trip? I get to dine in at Jollibee once again, after a long time... woohoo!!
who wants a take-out?
------------
i'm thinkin' of her again. i don't want this blog of mine to be mushy (and corny) but i can't help what i'm feelin'. i'm afraid. as i have told her last night, i am afraid. that maybe one day, she'll wake up not liking me anymore. she ain't sure yet if she can "upgrade" her feelings for me from like to love, but i don't wanna rush everything. i know i have to wait, as i have done always... yes i will. i will wait for you...
------------
in the next hours, my buddy Noriel is gonna pick me up from here and we'll be going to Square One. i have some "business" to attend to in preparation for Keng's Bday.
Actually, i don't know if she will be holding a party on her day, but if ever there will be one, i won't be able to come. Coz i want an exclusive treat just for me! hehe... demanding?
hey keng! i want an exclusive treat on your birthday, eh?

just got home from Krispy Kreme-Mavis with my buddies. they claimed a dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts courtesy of their promo coupon and we sipped hot milk chocolate while catching up on some things that has been happening lately, before they finally drove me home using Charlie's newly acquired car. hmm... i should get the exact model of his car to post a photo here in my blog. it was a nice ride, i felt very comfy at the back seat.
i actually attended the devotional prayer tonight and at the same time attended the scheduled Bible study which was held at the basement of our chapel. Bro. Roland's voice is sick so we just watched The Message on VCR and prayed afterwards. SOMEONE TRICKED ME THIS AFTERNOON AND TOLD ME SHE ALREADY ATTENDED THE DEVOTIONAL PRAYER THIS MORNING. hmm... i wonder who SHE is...
oh well... i received the holiday greeting card sent to me by my good PEx pal, Paul, and i would like to take this space to thank him for it. such a thoughtful friend he is. thanks, Paul!
this morning, upon waking up i shoveled our walkway all the way upstairs to clear it from the snow. unfortunately, it snowed again after 10 minutes when i was done clearing our way. oh well... i really hate this season!
also this morning, i had a nice, long chat with my cousin, Kuya Jay, who is working in Israel. He plans to stay here and i encouraged him, instead of being alone in the Middle East, he might as well live here and be with us. At least, we have relatives here and he won't be alone in his endeavors. He's the most industrious first cousin i ever know, striving hard to support himself and his family. i just wish that if i get my status here, i would be able to extend any assistance that he may need me for.

today is a very slow day. i really hate Sundays with no church activities. i got used to being a church body on Sundays and having no duty to perform on a Sunday makes the day dragging.
our lunch appointment (with my family) was cancelled since my ate wasn't feeling well and its snowing outside. it will not be advisable to stroll along the mall or go elsewhere either, if its not that important after all. so i just chilled here at home, being the "home body" that i am (cough, cough) and just watched Sports TV as the Toronto Raptors clobber good the Portland Trail Blazers.
------------
haaayyy... she's not home yet. i've been wanting to talk to her since yesterday. antagaaaal...... grrrrrrr........

i miss you. early this day i began thinking of you. hoping to just even talk to you if seeing each other is not possible. as i rode the bus going east, i can't help but recall the times we shared together. it seemed like it was just yesterday and the day has passed by so quickly. now i can't pass a day without hearing from you. i know this has been a busy and tiring day and i did my best to reach you. but it didn't happen. how i wish to hear you, to see you, and hug you once more... i miss you.

talo ang Raptors laban sa Clippers. sus! nakakainis ang tamad nilang maglaro kanina lalo na si Carter. sheesh...
------------
our new church organ arrived this afternoon. i was waiting for it until past lunch time but there was a delay in the delivery because the driver of the delivery truck didn't report to work, so the locale had to rent a carrier and pick-up the organ in Brampton instead. i was not able to wait for it coz i have to go.. anyway, the new church organ sounds good according to those who heard the demo play of bro. ralph when it was tested after putting it up the choir loft. our group gets to use it first in the worship service since we are scheduled to perform tomorrow in the Filipino WS.
------------
had a nice late lunch with karen at China Buffet. the viands there are few (sobrang kaunti ng pagpipilian) but nonetheless it is an "ok" place to spend more time in eating and talking. they charge low too for their buffet. magtyaga ka na lang sa gelatin. hekhekhek!
hey, keng! thanks for your time. i really appreciate the time you spent with me today. sana sumama ka sa ACC para kasama ka sa nagmumukmok nung matalo yung Raptors!
oh well... i'm still sleeping upstairs with my lola, and i'll be having a nice sleep at the couch! malamig sa labas. sobrang ginaw, buti na lang mas mainit sa itaas kaysa rito sa basement.
lalaine, wala na munang weather report sa blog ko. LOL! manood ka na lang ng weather network.
i'm sleepy... good night, blog.

i took a quiz at Quizilla entitled "Where Will You Go When you Die?" and i got this result:

Reincarnation: You are nice enough to go to heaven,
but Earth won't be as fun without you. As a
real optimist and lighthearted person, you
always see the good in things. People probably
respect you for your wonderful personality and
love for life. People like you make the world a
happier place (please rate my quiz)
**Where will you go when you die?**
brought to you by Quizilla
haha! funny because i don't believe in reincarnation. oh well...

wind chill today was at its lowest, minus 19 degrees celsius and tomorrow is even colder at minus 22 degrees centigrade. it was a windy day too making it more chilly for people who walk outside the streets going to their own business(es).
before lunch, i got the chance to talk to my mom and confirmed my time deposit passbook which i left in Cainta. Good thing she has it. It ended my worry if I misplaced it somewhere. oh well.
i got to chill with the cold weather this day as i fetched my niece at the bus stop. i prepared her a deep-fried chicken for lunch, then headed to BK place. i learned to cook siomai and helped in the preparation of the soup which we had for late lunch. then we watched Notting Hill on DVD.
afterwards, i called my buddies and went with them to Glen Erin to do some business. i bought the three of us cups of hot chocolate each while we braved the cold weather outside.
now, i'm here upstairs with my lola. i'm gonna sleep here upstairs to accompany her as my aunt & uncle left this early morning for LA.
-----------
Happy birthday to my nephew, renjo!

You should be dating a Leo.
23 July - 22 August
This mate is honest and loyal, with a sunny
disposition. Though this lion has the tendency
to be arrogant, sulky or smug, he/she is
unrestrained in bed.
What Zodiac Sign Are You Attracted To?
brought to you by Quizilla
funny because last August 20, 2003, i took the same test but i got a different result from what i got now. Last time it says that i should be dating a Sagittarian haha... fickle-minded!

just got home from Islington area, i had a fine appointment with my dentist. LOL. i need to pray a lot so my teeth will grow well and be strong. hehe...
snow's just about 5 cm high, contrary to what the weather.ca had reported last night. oh well.. its still cold. *brr*
anyway, while i was on the bus (i rode the bus for more hours than i wasn't into it) i was thinking of the May 2004 elections in Manila. the thing is getting to be a real circus show. latest news i've read, Loren Legarda offers to quit VP race under FPJ's ticket, reasoning out to unite once again the divided "united" opposition. this news came after a few days when Jesus Is Lord Fellowship leader Eddie Villanueva declared his intent to run for the presidency--- a candidate groomed by his leadership in the born again sect mentioned. now, he decided to put his post as a spiritual leader as his secondary priority and give more importance to the activities of this world. a personal choice of him, ano nga bang pakialam ko? hayyy...
want more circus? try this: the Philippine politics is OFFICIALLY plagued by the showbiz industry. from the highest post in the government upto its baranggay officials in its towns. and here's the latest news i just browsed on the net: Leon Guerrero, Alyas Pogi *vs* Panday!
i don't wanna lose hope for the Philippines. i still believe that its citizens are the ones who can make a BIG difference for the country. we have a democratic form of government. lest we forget, it is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. i hope the blessings of God will not fade in this country in the far east.
------------
its amusing to note that as early as 1986 (during the EDSA Revolution), i was already aware of philippine politics. i was 10 years old then. maybe it's because of the power of the FIRST (and the only real) EDSA Revolution, when the people were united against dictatorship. i remember my dad bringing us along the plaza (downtown) of Bacolod City to join the rally for the then-aspiring president, Corazon C. Aquino. I had been aware of the snap election, the dirty tricks of it, people who care for the country's sake, and those who just care about taking money and be bribed. funny coz until now, i still memorize the 24 senatorial line-up of the LABAN party (Cory Aquino's party). here goes in alphabetical order:
alvarez
angara
aquino
defensor
gonzales
guingona
herrera
laurel
lina
maceda
manglapus
mercado
osmeña
paterno
pimentel
rasul
romulo
saguisag
salonga
sanchez
shahani
tamano
tañada
ziga
well...? hahaha! i really find it funny because i have a poor memory. but this line up, it is still in my memory. i guess that list is one of the early inputs that already marked a space in my brian. then, i also keep in mind the 1986 Constitution Preamble.
Three years after Cory was seated as the Philippine president, there was this senatorial election (for the 2nd twelve spots that will serve for three years) where i developed an admiration to a campaign jingle. it was Romy "Nonong" Jalosjos' campaign jingle that channel 2 always play in between the show of Eat Bulaga! the jingle goes in a song:
"Ang tinig kong ito, sa 'yo sana'y maiparinig,
Malayo ka man sa akin, sa 'yo, ako ay may hatid,
Sa ugnayan may unawaan, kung may papagitan
Isang bansang tulad ng atin,
Isang tulay ang kailangan...
Aparri hanggang Jolo magkakaunawaan
Kung sa senado, may mamamagitan."
hahahaha! natatawa talaga ako. oh well.. i just hope the philippines will be a better nation after the May 2004 elections. whatever the result may be, i hope the people will unite in one goal--- to uplift the lives of the Filipinos by helping each other and being responsible citizens of the country.
"With great power comes great responsibility."

Saturday 'twas my nephew's birthday celebration and first time our house was full of people. our whole committee group was here, and the choir members with their kids. i got a slight headache but everything turned out fine. we also got to meet Rajam, the better half of Debbie. well, as per conversation with him, i've learned that he's my batch mate in New Era University.
last visitors left at around 1130pm, and its the only time i ate my dinner well.
Today, i got to perform in the worship service and its always a blessing for me! also, i had made my first lagak. hehe... i feel fulfilled, at least for the week.
i borrowed the musical piece of Cris, the pieces for wedding and my sister and i practiced it here at home while kuya ralph plays it in the organ. i love the hymn With This Heart. Its a very nice composition.
------------
i'm scheduled to go to Islington tomorrow and i'm getting scared of the snow. i'm really a hater of cold weather. sheesh... good luck to me, i'm riding the bus and i still don't have a legitimate pair of snow boots.

i was a bit disappointed when i woke up this morning. i actually woke up late, and the first thing i saw beside me in my bed was the cordless phone. it didn't ring last night, or at least at dawn, when i was expecting a call from someone. i don't know if i am being a bit demanding but i was really expecting that call. oh well.. maybe i just really miss that person.
------------
my brother went home at around 1pm from the chinese store so i had to feed my niece & nephew their breakfast. my buddies arrived before lunch coz we have to go somewhere before proceeding to ka ellen's place. we had our lunch when my brother arrived around 2pm then off we went to Mavis Road. we took the bus going there and strolled in the stores around. we also claimed a dozen of Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnuts and took a sip of coffee in there too. then we went to ka ellen's place. we watched the Raptors lose against the Hornets.
RAVE: i have a new shirt & tie... thanks to Nimfa & Alice!

its the first day of the year 2004. thank God its Thursday! I get to perform tonight in the worship service. God is good... as always. :)
we had lunch here at home together with our relatives upstairs and my aunt's family from Brampton. then i dozed off a bit and prepare for the worship service, which was graced by the Lord!
After the worship service, we had dinner at Charmaine's place, and friends of Lalaine were there. we had a nice chat with Ka Roland, too. (this post was edited January 02)
------------
Yesterday, my kuya Jay called from Israel and was surprised upon knowing that i'm here in Canada. he was supposed to greet my sister a happy new year, but i told him that she was at work. he has plans of staying here in Canada for good after his contract in the Middle East, i hope by that time i can assist him. he's my cousin and memories of us go back way during our Pampanga years. we were still high schools then.
Before going to the locale prayer at night, my sister and i watched Face Off in DVD, starring Nicolas Cage & John Travolta. It was a nice movie, one of the two DVDs i bought at HMV.
Also yesterday, i got to watch the Return of the King. I found the last of the trilogy a bit amusing, lalo na nung nagtawanan kami ng kasama ko sa loob ng sine. First, whenever Legolas' face flashes in the screen, there was this girl who giggles so loud that we thought she's gonna faint everytime she sees Orlando Bloom. Then, we thought that either sam or frodo was gay. and either pippin or merry was too. much more, either legolas or aragorn was also gay. ok, ok... calm down.. those were just jokes, eh? among all the characters i admired in the film, i would say that the best ever character is Aragorn, and my companion and i both agreed that the most useless character is none other than--- Frodo Baggins. haha! and oh btw, hurrah to Gollum (Smeagol)! If not for him, the ring wouldn't have been destroyed. oopss... sorry for the spoiler. anyway, its still worth watching. don't forget to pee before going in the movie house. film is 3.5 hours long.

03.03.03. stories year-ender part 2
People.
Space here is not enough to mention EVERYONE who made a difference, and somehow touched my life for the year 2003.
From Manila (workplace)
Sir Anthony – he’s a former colleague in DIGITEL, and when he knew that I was looking for a job upon my return from Canada last year (Sept 2002), he immediately hired me and gave me a wonderful opportunity (and post) in my latest job in Manila. He’s been so supportive not only to me but to all his subordinates as well.
My core group (Jules, Kats, Ann, Lei, MJ, Buddy, Charry, Dinty) – One of the best groups I ever belonged into. We were batch mates in Digitel Mobile (SUN Cellular), and we were like “inseperable” when it comes to work activities. Only the work assignment made us part from each other but getting in touch once in a while was never lost. We were like the “silent crème of the crop.”
My South Luzon group (Cecile, Roan, Lei, Boss Owen, Monina, Leah, Maggie, Bang, Cherry & Kokoy) – I’ve never been so at home with these guys. They are my life when we officially launched our mobile products and they trusted me a lot. Thank you all people, I will never forget all of you, even the farewell dinner for me that we all joined together after your area meeting. Special mention also to Boss Dante.
Jinj – the kindest and most silent lady in SUN Cellular RMAD, I would just like to thank you. I hope we learned a lot from our special friendship and I’d like to wish everything that’s best for you…
From Manila (church brethren)
Irene – my assistant choir leader to whom I entrusted the choir when I left, God Bless You and the choir!
Choir – for being steadfast in your duties, through fire and flood we have passed together, through happy and lonely times, special occasions and every worship services that we have praised God and encourage Him to be in our midst whenever we perform our duties. Mostly composed of students, I am always proud of you for not neglecting your duties, kahit yung iba, wala nang pamasahe papunta ng kapilya para mag-straight ng tupad, Diyos na ang bahalang gumanti sa inyo… I miss you my dear choristers…
PNK MTs (special mention to my sisters Chaddy & Alyssa) – love of duty without any material gains--- that’s what I see in you. I really appreciate all your efforts to bring the children of God into a high standard of worship, your weekly visitation and committee-prayers, your love as their overseers and your care for the young sheep of the Lord. God bless each one of you. Thank you din sa Farewell CD na ginawa ninyo at ni Froddo.
Sunday School Teachers – my “comrades” every Saturday classes and Sunday CWS.
CY – my personal adviser, everything I needed to consult with, she’s the girl.
Village East Kalihims (Jerik, Itchay, Chad, Ka Ason & of course Manay Cristy) – all of you who tolerate me “baby-ing” around the secretaries office, kayo ang mga kasanggga ko! Thanks for the farewell treat you gave me at Paolo & Teo’s place.
Ka Eden – I miss your isaw and the quail eggs you sell.
Joy – an organist in Brookside who’s always in our locale to perform whenever we need her. God Bless you, sister. Sana sumulong ka pa sa pagdadala mo ng iyong tungkulin.
Ka Jesi – our choir directress (re-assigned to other area already) who always show enthusiasm whenever she visits our locale for practice. She gives in to my requests pertaining to our locale choir, thank you po.
From Manila (PEx, online friends)
Friend Mariel – my hot choco buddy, my confidant, everything you find in a good friend, nasa kanya. Salamat, friend.
Paul JENSIE_G – the most thoughtful PEx friend ever. Sobrang bait, and he’s fun to be with. Good luck on your job, Paul. I hope you find more contentment for this year ahead.
Jorry – silent type but not. As I see this good-hearted guy, nasa loob ang kulo. The guy who won’t sing. LOL. Makulit din ito sa PEx. Musta nab a? ito ang aking fortune-teller. LOL.
*devious*. And he always intentionally misspell my nick. *bah* Lol. Nakaka-miss din ang kakulitan nito. He’s also my prank caller at work before. Too bad, din a niya ako pwedeng I prank call kase mahal na ang bayad.
Ada – nothing has changed sa tao na ito. Mabait pa rin. Cool. Saka tahimik.
Mads – hehehe. Yun na lang. di naman niya ito mababasa kase busy yan eh. LOL
Aimee - the lady who's awake during wee hours of the day, so we always meet online. she's nice to chat with, a lady full of sense. thanks for the photos you sent me. i think it means that you trust me, eh? thank you. sana makapag-usap ulit tayo some time and hoping to see you too when i go back home. :)
My PExbarkadas:
Jawee – hmm… hmm… makulit, uber kulit! (pero mas makulit pa rin si nedz). Ay naku. Itong babae na ito (si jary po, hindi si nedz) ay hindi na iba sa akin. Everything she wants to confide, nasasabi nya sa akin. Well, at least yung ibang important matter. Thank you pos a tiwala, kahit di ako katiwa-tiwala… bwahahaha… I wish you good luck in your endeavors, sa work, sa love life, sa tungkulin… teka, para akong nakaharap sa salamin nito ah. Hahaha… take care of mama! Wag mo siyang iiwan kaya wag ka na tumuloy sa Sing.
Frances Ivy – I love watching over her. Pag napahamak itong tao na ito, para bang napakalaki ng pananagutan ko. Ewan ko ba. I love hearing good news about her, especially when I hear that she’s happy in what she does. I only have one wish for you: keep the faith! *muah*
LA – kakabasa ko lang ng email niya, nagpapabili ng video cam. This guy’s magastos! Laging mainit ang credit cards sa mga swiping machines. He’s nice to be with, would never let you down, parang Rexona. LOL. Don’t worry, when I come back, gimik ulit tayo.
Kerwin – the brother I never had. One word I learned in 2003 is “k3rwin”. It is equivalent to the word, “vain”. Hehe.. sobrang fashionista ng tao na ito, ok lang. pang-model naman ang dating eh. Too bad, before I left, wala sya at nagpapakasarap sa Indo. Nung bumalik naman sa Pinas, wala na ko. You missed a lot of lakad with the barkada (syet, napapa-konyo ako sayo!). I hope to catch up with you soon! Good luck din sa love life. Harharhar…
PEx overseas (Sweet_angel79) – itong si Abby, andali kong nakasundo. Masarap kausap, masayahin, kahit minsan, marami siyang reklamo sa buhay, she always keep a happy outlook in life. Thank you for the package you sent me. I didn’t expect you to give me such expensive gifts like the DVD player you sent last Christmas, with 3 DVDs for me to enjoy, then yung Christmas card, and one leather jacket na sobrang mahal ang price dito sa Canada. Grabe, mga kaibigan sa pinas, diba kayo naiinggit? Thanks, abby! *kiss*
People from Canada…
Noriel & Charlie - my inseperable buddies... they were the first ones who tried to assist me to get some jobs here. they always make me feel at home, comfortable, and teach me the ins and outs of Mississauga & Toronto. salamat po.
Nimfa - my "boss." nuff said. :)
Alice - partner in crime ni Nimfa. hehe.. well, this brave lady fought for us to be in their group. and she always gets us tickets to the Raptors game.
Ka Leda & Ka Lito - si ka leda, mama ko yan, as in paampon na naman ako. hehehe... masayang kasama, tampuhin, mabait, mahilig kumanta. Ka Lito has been my father's best friend when he was still here. I sincerely hope and believe that he is God's instrument in bringing my father into the fold.
Sherilyn - ka leda & ka lito's daughter, makulit, kalaro ko yan. and oh, she has a nice singing voice too. :)
Judy, Jen & Chito - our "second family". malapit na rin kaming maging magkapit-bahay ng mga ito.
Ka Ellen - ang pumalit sa barbero ko. she and her family (Ka Eric) has been so kind to us. hindi na kami iba sa kanila.
Ka dan P. - for the job offer, and being my part time employer.. malaking tulong din yung cash na nakukuha ko from him, for my everyday need.
Roma - i know you strived hard to win my friendship, i'm such a *bitch* (sometimes lang naman, hehehe). but you always will be a friend to me. thank you for the CDs and other things that you shared.. ang sarap nung leche flan nyo ah!
Raziel - the name i loved most saying... "rath-yeL"! hehe.. thanks for the job offer, kahit di natuloy. hehehe.. i hope you'll have a nice love story this year. :)
Mark D. - the younger bro i never had. a "sentimental fool", always thinking of his girl. haha! you're too young for it bro! study hard muna. :p
Jesselle - one of the ladies here who tried her best to make me feel at ease with my stay here. thank you for your time and your friendship. Its something else i will not forget.
Pam - salamat po sa lahat...
Karen - need i say more? :)
Our committee group (Ka Resty, Ka Maribeth, Maria, William, Ka Susie & kids, Nanay, Tatay, Ka Milet, Ka Vic, Shereen, John Mark, Sarah, and Cecile) this is the best committee group ever! too bad, we have new area assignments starting January 2004, kaya mawawala sa amin yung iba. :(
To everyone, may we all have a happy & a prosperous new year!
