i wanna be a millionaire so freakin' bad

yep... hindi ko hangad maging billionaire kaya yan lang ang nasa title ng blog post ko, hango sa titulo ng isang sikat na kanta ngayon. kung bakit, hindi ko kase alam kung ano ang gagawin ko sa pera kapag naging bilyonaryo ako. mainit ngayon ang paksa ukol sa jackpot ng lotto kung saan umaabot na sa 700M+ ang mapapanalunan ng sinumang mapalad na tatama rito. paano ko nga ba gagastusin ang 700M+ kung ako ang mabigyan nito? hmm..... malalim-lalim na palaisipan. pero marahil, eto ang mga paglalaanan ko:

1) invest for my children's (take note: children) education up to college.
2) bumili ng bahay at lupa sa Pampanga, Tagaytay, Quezon City, at Rizal.
3) mag-franchise ng Jolibee at Figaro
4) patatakan ang pasaporte patungo sa Canada, US, at mga bansa sa Europe. Pag napagod kami, pahinga muna kami sa Asia.
5) Magtayo ng school
6) change wardrobe. LAHAT NG NASA APARADOR KO. :P
7) bumili ng SUV
8) mag-sponsor ng tatlong kamag-anak na nag-aaral pa at tatawagin itong 03.03.03 stories...scholars!
9) magkaroon ng sariling TV Station
10) bilhin ang kumpanya ng boss ko. buwahahahaha!!!

hmm... siguro wala pang 500M yang mga nabanggit ko sa itaas. meron pa kong 200M++
hayy... tama na ang pangangarap ng dilat. hindi naman ako mananalo ng 700M sa lotto dahil hindi naman ako tumataya dito kahit sa bawat barangay ay nagpapahabaan ng pila ng mga tumataya sa lotto, hindi ako madaling madala ng agos. pero teka, tumataya pala ang tatay ko. at babalatuhan nya raw ako kapag sya ang nanalo. wow. tuloy ang pangangarap ng dilat! yahoo! sana manalo ang tatay ko. sana manalo ang tatay ko. sana manalo ang tatay ko...

on another note, medyo same topic (usapang panalo), Surprise! NANALO AKO! nanalo ako sa give-away ng WAVE 89.1 na premier tickets ng indie film na IKA-SAMPU. the plEaZure is yours!

i've been in the contraceptive distribution business for over five years now and i'm the only pioneer employee left in the company (so i hope i get some loyalty incentives when i leave the company for any reasons). being in this business, many think that i get to consume all our products that are ok for male consumption (obviously, pills aren't to be taken by men). so people think i get to enjoy "testing" all our condom lines starting from the most common variant (natural, strawberry, chocolate - scented ones) up to the most "creative" ones (dotted, ultra thin, with real flavor, and even that piece that comes with a vibrator). well, not really. you'll even be surprised that some (girl) officemates are still naive in talking about the subject matter (those pertaining to love-making and other "adult" content - conversations).

among our products, i regularly patronize only one: EZ Lubricating Jelly. before, i wondered if i'll ever need a lubricant when i engage in love-making. later on, lubricants have been known to give you extra pleasure during love-making. lubricants do have their particular uses but using it for (added) pleasure is FTW! now, we are coming up with a new variant--- EZ Lubricating Jelly Icy Mint! take a peek of it here. this new product which will soon hit the market shall also make a BIG hit among its users. speaking of which, i now end this blog post...

work leave: missions accomplished

I was on leave last week, Thursday, to attend to two things. both had something to do with government offices. i was thinking positive though that i won't be having a hard time with my transactions.

1. "Sa 'yo na ang SSS mo, pati na ang PHILHEALTH mo, pero sa akin lang ang PAG-IBIG mo." - statement ni wifey sa akin pagkauwi ko galing sa PAG-IBIG. :D haha... it was a circulated joke/hirit and still it made me smile after going home from (the main office of) PAG-IBIG Fund by transferring from one PUV to another. nakakapagod mag-commute lalo na kung polluted ang hangin na malalanghap mo sa kalunsuran. I didn't drive for two reasons: I didn't know the place and I was saving up on gas for our afternoon appointment. So after catching sweat on a drizzly morning by riding the FX going to LRT line 2, transferring from LRT line 2 to LRT line 1, getting off at Monumento station to ride a jeepney and finally going up and down a footbridge across EDSA, I reached the PAG-IBIG building. I was delighted to see few people on cue so i grabbed my number and waited for my turn. after a few humiliation caused by a first time loaner (i reserve the right to keep the story behind the "humiliation"), i finally went out of the building with a pleasant grin on my face. despite of the few boo-boos i made in the process, i still gave my PAG-IBIG experience a passing grade. I hurriedly rode the bus, then jeepney, then got my car from church where i left it earlier, and enjoyed the dish my wifey cooked for lunch. moments were priceless :)

2. Department of Foreign Affairs. Since we missed claiming their (my wife's & daughter's) passports in the remote location where the DFA held a passport issuance program weeks back, we had to go to the new DFA office to claim them. Upon arrival, we saw long lines but fortunately for us, we had this contact person and the documents to be claimed were separately endorsed to an office, so we didn't need to go though the long lines. and presto! we got out of the DFA office in less than 30 minutes! another passing grade for the government office!

i don't know but even if i was tired that day due to the things i have to accomplish, being with my family on a day off simply is priceless. and it takes the stress away! ;)

1. after making a blog entry about paying tribute to the graduates, i came to realize that high school is not the happiest time of my school years as people normally believe.
2. i eat my lunch by hand in the office pantry with my office mates.
3. i'm contemplating about purchasing a new (and smaller) house... err, just contemplating.
4. i don't observe "holy week"
5. i always look for quality guapples whenever i am in the supermarket.
6. i use milk for my coffee... even when there's creamer around. :P
7. i do not smoke.
8. i prefer to be more tan than fair.
9. wakes up at 3:30 am every thursdays & sundays.
10. loves the number 12.

the good dilemma

Last Sunday night, wifey, our little girl & i were strolling along Eastwood City when an SMS from a friend-colleague was received. the text message reads:

"Hi koy, tin hiring kari kuya ku, bisa ka kanu? Same position nya. **** salary. Need nila ASAP"

Right then and there, our thoughts focused on the offer. I have always entertained the thought of working (and saving up) overseas and this job offer may be the right moment for me to go.

now here's the good dilemma: i have an overseas job offer but i have to leave my family for the meantime (while my daughter is fast growing-up).

we've consulted very few people regarding this and most of them came up with a stale mate evaluation. the dilemma remains for us (hubby & wifey) to decide. after talking things out, i'm all set to prepare the things i need to go. the good friend called me and informed me everything i needed to prepare and what he's to do for me to have a swift arrival in the country. he's generous enough to arrange my "invitation letter" to be presented to the embassy and also arrange the place where i'll stay so my work & "house" should just be walking distance from each other. he also briefed me about the nature of work which is very much similar to what i'm doing with my current employer. so, what's not to like? considering that the salary is more than double of what i'm currently earning. my decision to go should be final before this month ends as they needed the manpower ASAP. so there. after many discussions with wifey, after much evaluation, after weighing things, i've came up with the most important decision to get out of this good dilemma.

"kuya chris. di ko kaya iwan mag-ina ko lalo na baby ko. di pa siguro ako ready humiwalay sa kanila. Thanks sa offer ha. sinabi ko na nang maaga para di na kayo mag-expect."

naligo ang anak ko, nagbihis nang maayos, umingit at nagpunta sa playpen, tapos kumain ng fudgee bar at eto ang naging resulta...



for the meantime, alis muna kaming mag-anak. punta lang kami dyan sa tabi-tabi para kunin yung ilang bagay na makakapagpalayas sa amin tungo sa malalayong lupain ;)
